DOME & Dark-field Illuminators

NERLITE DF-Series Dark-Field Illuminators provide effective low-angle lighting to targeted regions. Dark-Field Illuminators enhance the contrast of surface features such as laser embossed or engrave marks or surface defects.

NERLITE Dome Illuminators are an economical source of diffused, uniform light. Their large, solid angle of illumination supports imaging of curved surfaces. They are a cost-effective alternative to the CDI for application not requiring an on-axis lighting component.

Nerlite D-150

D-150 Series Dome Illuminators provide diffused, uniform light. The dome design is good for applications with shiny, bumpy surfaces. As there is no onaxis Illumination, there will be an absence of light in the center of the image. When the application demands a continuous envelope of light, i.e. continuous diffuse illumination, use NER’s Cloudy Day Illuminator (CDI) products.

Nerlite DF-100-1

The DF-100-1 Series provides low-angle illumination to the region of interest. The unit uses a single tier of LEDs mounted 90° to the optical axis. The light enhances the contrast of surface features such as laser, embossed or engraved marks or surface defects. The light is particularly suited for applications such as BGA ball placement, laser-etched symbologies and surfaces with geometric contours.

Nerlite DF-150-1

DF-150-1 provides low-angle illumination to the region of interest. The unit uses a single tier of LEDs mounted 90 degrees to the optical axis. The light enhances the contrast of surface features such as laser, embossed or engraved marks or surface defects. The light is particularly suited for applications such as BGA ball placement, laser-etched symbologies and surfaces with geometric contours.

Nerlite DF-150-3

DF-150-3 provides low-angle illumination to the region of interest. The unit uses three tiers of LEDs mounted 75° to the part surface. The lighting enhances contrast to surface perimeters that are of varying distances to the camera (e.g., embossed or engraved). The light is particularly suited for enhancing contrast on geometric contours.

Nerlite DF-200-1

The DF-200-1 provides low-angle strobed illumination to the region of interest. The unit uses a single tier of LEDs mounted 90 degrees. to the optical axis. The light enhances the contrast of surface features such as laser, embossed or engraved marks or surface defects. The light is particularly suited for applications such as BGA ball placement, laser-etched symbologies and surfaces with geometric contours.

Nerlite DF-50

The DF-50 Series of dark-field illuminators provides low-angle illumination to the region of interest. The unit uses
a single tier of LEDs mounted 70° to the optical axis. The light enhances the contrast of surface features such as laser, embossed or engraved marks or surface defects. The light is particularly suited for applications such as BGA ball placement, laser-etched symbologies and surfaces with geometric contours.

Nerlite DLA-75

DLA-75 (Dual Line Array) provides two linear projections of LED lighting. Each linear array, consisting of three rows of LED’s, is independently adjustable to control the angle of illumination to the region of interest. Standard models are available with red or white LEDs, other spectrums are available on request.
