Fibre Optic Amplifiers

All the universal optic functions of through-beam and proximity, as well as the application functions ranging from contrast and luminescence to colour detection, can be obtained using fibre optic sensors. The optic fibres can be considered as cables that transport light and can be used to dislocate the sensor's optics in small spaces, or to detect very small objects.
DATASENSOR S7 Series Fibre Optic Amplifier
  • 10 bit resolution models with 500 µs response for high operating distances
  • 12 bit resolution models with 50 µs response and 4 digit display for high speed
  • Cost-effective models with multiturn trimmer adjustment
  • EASYtouch™ push-button setting with remote control, keylock and output delay
  • Ultra-thin housing with CLEARLOCK™ patented fibre fixing system
DATASENSOR TEC Series Microprocessor Fibre Optic RGB Colour Sensor
The fibre-optic sensors of the TEC series offer a versatile and effective solution for the detection of objects, surfaces, register marks, or other references on the basis of their colour.
The diffused proximity optic system is based on a RGB (red-green-blue) LED emission; the received signal is elaborated and recognised by the microprocessor that also controls the output with a response time inferior to 1 ms. The sensors can recognise a precise colour, or various colours inside a chromatic range included between two references memorised during the setting phase. The output is activated every time the colour or memorised chromatic range is recognised.
Three patent-covered solutions are present: the RGB emission control and the amplifier’s thermic compensation guaranteeing the maximum sensitivity in detection; the transparent CLEARLOCK™ system allows the verification of the correct insertion and fixing of the fibre-optics, as well as the identification of the light sources.
DATASENSOR TED Series Dual Channel MicroP-Based Fibre Optic Controller
Reduction of installation costs, space and time are only a few of the advantages offered by TED series, that presents two fibre-optic amplifiers inside a single housing with only a 12 mm depth, suitable for both fixing bracket or DIN rail mounting. The sensors have four input holes for the emission and receiver terminals of the two independent fibre-optics, that can be positioned either separately at long distances or close to each other without any interference. The EASYtouch™ setting push-buttons, the indication LEDs and the NPN or PNP outputs are all double and independent.
The power supply is in common for both channels, while the outputs are placed on different poles that can be connected together in parallel, obtaining an 'OR' function. This means that the common output is activated even if only one of the two fibre-optics has detected the object.
The TED sensors are available with cable or M8 connection.
DATASENSOR TEN Series Microprocessor-Based Fibre Optic Amplifier
The TEN series has been developed to guarantee the best performances with the extremely various plastic fibre-optic accessories. Different models are available: models with 1.5 kHz switching frequency for the longer operating distances, or 5 kHz models with only 100 ìs response time and double red/green selectable emission, that can be also used as contrast sensors to detect coloured marks.
The setting is obtained by means of a SET push-button and thanks to a tri-colour LED that guides the operations, signalling the correct optic fibre alignment. Moreover a 2 bit anti-interference system that, within the response time, uses another confirmation pulse before switching the output and a special highsensitivity amplification circuit to also detect transparent objects are present. The exclusive patent-covered CLEARLOCKTM solution allows the visible verification of the correct fibre-optic insertion, as well as the identification of the light sources.
