The CLV 490 bar code scanner from SICK delivers maximum, tilt independent read rates with minimum code height. If you need a scanner for OMNI pplications, pallet applications, parcel handling or applications with large object/depth of field, the CLV 490 is ready to work for you. The CLV 490 has real-time, patented Automatic Focus Control, a function that provides optimum read rates at maximum depth of field; the scanner automatically focuses according to the distance to the object. No additional components are necessary to detect the object distance! With dimensions of 4.6 x 4.6 x 3.7 in (117 x 117 x 94 mm), the CLV 490 is the most powerful scanner of its size on the market; it is especially suited to applications where space is at a premium. The reading range for the CLV 490 is 20 to 82 in (500 to 2100mm). The CLV 490 is able to provide ultra-reliable code recognition thanks to SICK’s SMART. SMART, SICK’s Modular Advanced Recognition Technology, allows the scanner to easily read bar code labels that are tilted, damaged or partially hidden from the scanner’s view.
